The competition for the Lilongwe Chapter of JCI took place at Bwaila secondary school on the 14th of October, in the presence of the Mayor for Lilongwe City, His Worship Dr Desmond Bikoko, who was the Guest of Honour.

In this first round of the competition, between the teams of Lilongwe Girls Secondary School and Mkwichi Secondary school, the latter emerged as the winner.
