Unicaf University Donates Furniture to Schools in Malawi
Lilongwe, Malawi – June 6, 2024 – Unicaf University, a prominent university in Malawi with a strong portfolio of both online and face-to-face programmes, recently demonstrated its commitment to community engagement through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The university donated furniture to three local schools, supporting educational development within the community and reinforcing its role as an integral educational institution in Malawi.
First, Unicaf University donated desks to Chatuwa Primary School in Lilongwe. The event was attended by the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Chief Operations Officer of Unicaf University, the Head Teacher of Chatuwa Primary School and the Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association. All teachers and several students were present to witness the symbolic handover of the furniture.
Later the same day, Unicaf University continued its CSR efforts by donating more desks to Young Academy in Lilongwe. The donation event was graced by the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Chief Operations Officer of Unicaf University and the Executive Director of Young Academy. The students expressed their appreciation through performances of songs, dramas, and poems dedicated to Unicaf University. The Executive Director also conveyed his heartfelt thanks for Unicaf University’s generosity.
Lastly, Unicaf University completed its series of donations by providing desks to Randu Academy in Dowa. The donation ceremony was attended by the Chief Operations Officer of Unicaf University and the Executive Director of Randu Academy, alongside all teachers and some students. The Executive Director of Randu Academy expressed his profound gratitude for Unicaf University’s significant contribution.
