Young Innovators Awards Ceremony

Unicaf University hosts Malawi Young Innovators Award Ceremony

On the 15th of September, 2023, Unicaf University in Malawi hosted the award ceremony for the much-anticipated Malawi Young Innovators competition at our campus in Lilongwe.

The competition was aimed at final-year secondary school students from all around Malawi to display their problem solving skills and share their innovative ideas within the subject of ICT and Entrepreneurship. The purpose of the competition was for Unicaf University to inspire the youth of Malawi to become entrepreneurs themselves, as well as to recognise and support young talent with innovative ideas that have the potential to bring about positive change in Malawi..

Over 120 essays were sent in from all around Malawi, which all contained fantastic and thought-provoking ideas and opinions about the current state of ICT and Entrepreneurship in Malawi.

Five essays were selected as the winners, all of which came with fantastic prizes. The top-five essays were selected by two highly-esteemed judges:

  1. Dr Levi Zeleza Manda , Pro VC Unicaf University
