UUM STUDENT NETBALL AND FOOTBALL TEAMS BACK ON TRACK AFTER THE HOLIDAYS

On the 1st of February 2020, the Unicaf University Malawi Women Students Netball team reconvened after the holidays to play a game against the Natural Resource College (Luanar branch) team in Lilongwe. The UUM team looked elegant and sporty in their red jerseys with white stripes, as you can see in the photo. The game was exciting, with both teams fighting hard to win. The Natural Resources College team won the game with 40 scores against the UUM team’s 35 scores. The UUM team vowed to work on improving their physical fitness levels, so that they can win the next game.

A week later, on the 8th February 2020, the Unicaf University Malawi Male Students Football Team played a match against the DMI University team at Civo Stadium Upper in Lilongwe. UUM students had fun as they scored 6 goals against their opponents’ 3. The UUM Student Football team is doing great so far and the performance of its members is improving day by day. They had every reason to feel proud as they were posing for ateam photograph.

Unicaf University supports and sponsors friendly matches against teams from other colleges, such as these, to encourage students to get regular physical exercise, become good team players, compete fairly in sports, as well as connect and network with students from other institutions.
