Unicaf University Malawi Sponsors SCOM

More than 400 students and teachers attended the Easter Conference of the Student Christian Organization of Malawi (SCOM), sponsored by Unicaf University Malawi, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme. The Conference took place from April 11th to 14th, at Mitundu Secondary School, near Lilongwe. The proceedings of the three day Conference focused on the spiritual and intellectual growth of young people in Malawi, through academic excellence, career guidance and sexual purity.

SCOM supports the spiritual and intellectual growth of young people in secondary schools and colleges throughout Malawi, encouraging them to dream big, work hard and invest in their education. Subscribing to the goals of SCOM, Unicaf University Malawi sponsored and attended the Conference to showcase its top quality Bachelor, Master and Doctoral degrees, available through online delivery or on campus studies, which are very affordable, thanks to generous scholarships and flexible payment plans.

UUM Pro Vice Chancellor, Mrs Chrissy Kafoteka, spoke at the opening of the SCOM Conference, advising students to think hard and do their research before selecting a university to study with, to ensure that the quality of learning will be high and relevant and that the qualification they will obtain is recognised nationally and internationally. Unicaf University Malawi is registered with the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

Students and teachers participating in the Conference expressed a strong interest in learning more about the undergraduate and post graduate degrees offered by UUM and in visiting the University’s state-of-the-art campus in Lilongwe.
