Unicaf University Students swap their studies for sunny Sigelege

Sigelege Beach Resort was the scheduled day trip for over 50 Unicaf University students and staff. The cool waters of the lake welcomed the team who took the opportunity to chill out with their fellow students around the sandy shores of Lake Malawi’s western coastline.

With the emphasis centred around relaxation, fun and adventure the team soon took to waterfront pursuits. The agenda included beach volleyball, board riding and swimming as well as the global pastime of taking “selfies.” A sumptuous beachside buffet was prepared for the students by the hotel which proved most welcome after a morning of sporting activities.

The day was a fantastic opportunity for the students to interact amongst themselves and with Unicaf University staff. As well as being part of Unicaf University’s ongoing student engagement campaign it also supports and encourages fellowship and solidarity among the students.
