Unicaf University and Randu Academy Forge Strategic Partnership

Unicaf University proudly announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Randu Academy in Malawi. The ceremony marked the beginning of a transformative collaboration aimed at advancing education in the region.

Situated in the picturesque semi-rural town of Dowa, just 50km away from Lilongwe, Randu Academy has emerged as a beacon of quality education in the area. Founded in 2023 by Dr Mark Winter, Unicaf University’s Academic Director, the academy is driven by a commitment to providing outstanding educational services to the community.

Randu Academy currently serves the primary education needs of the community, catering to learners from nursery to standard 6. With a focus on expansion in 2025 to include standard 8, the academy has witnessed significant growth since its inception. Starting with an initial enrollment of 46 learners in September 2023, the school has seen a commendable rise to 65 learners by February 23, 2024.

The MoU signing ceremony, attended by Dr  Robert Ridley, Vice-Chancellor of Unicaf University in Malawi, symbolises a commitment to broadening access to quality higher education in Malawi. The collaboration aims to empower learners in the region by offering a diverse range of degree programmes and professional development courses through Unicaf University’s online platform.

The partnership emphasises the synergy between Unicaf University’s expertise in online higher education and Randu Academy’s dedication to primary education, laying the foundation for a comprehensive and inclusive educational ecosystem in Malawi.
