Unicaf University and mHub Host Computer Skills Workshop

Unicaf University, in collaboration with mHub, Malawi’s premier technology and innovation hub, hosted a transformative computer skills workshop aimed at empowering young innovators and entrepreneurs with essential technical and business competencies. The workshop, held at Unicaf University’s cutting-edge amphitheatre in Lilongwe, attracted over 50 participants eager to enhance their digital prowess.

The collaboration between Unicaf University and mHub underscores a shared commitment to fostering sustainable business solutions and equipping Malawi’s youth with the tools needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. Participants expressed gratitude for the invaluable learning opportunity, with many describing the event as “amazing” and “inspirational.”

Throughout the workshop, three dynamic facilitators from mHub delivered engaging presentations on a range of topics including computer proficiency, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and graphic design. Attendees were immersed in hands-on activities and interactive discussions, gaining practical insights into the latest trends and technologies shaping the digital sphere.

Dr Mondiwa, Unicaf University’s Director of Clinical Practice, graced the event as a distinguished guest of honour, emphasising the importance of digital literacy in driving innovation and socioeconomic progress. Dr Levi Manda, Unicaf University’s Pro Vice- Chancellor, delivered closing remarks, reaffirming the university’s commitment to empowering Malawi’s youth through education and skills development.

The collaboration between Unicaf University and mHub represents a significant step forward in bridging the digital divide and empowering our youth with the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
